Designer and Consultant
Katherine ventured into the world of interior design shortly after graduating from the School of Architecture, National University of Singapore in 1998. The following years in the industry saw her in various positions in design, management and business development. These experiences added new dimensions and finesse to her outlook on design and its applications to design aesthetics.
During her employment in Far East Organization Katherine gained invaluable experience working directly under the Senior Manager of the Project Department. She was given the opportunity to manage the inception and imple-mentation of the various showunits of the Organisation and was also involved in the design and concept stage, and the implementation of the upgrading of some of the organization’s hotels and service apartments. She was also involved in developing sales and marketing strategies and lifestyle trends for certain residential developments.
In 2003 she joined Art et Domain Pte Ltd, a leading highend interior design firm in Singapore, to set up the flagship branch office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
As the Country General Manager, Katherine was responsible for the setting up of the Art et Domain Sdn Bhd office and showroom, and also headed the Design & Projects team which grew from a 2 man team to a strength of 10. During this tenure, Katherine had clinched and completed high end development show units and sales offices for well known developers, as well as private residences and offices. Katherine’s client portfolio included the influential individuals as well as established developers in KL such as Sunrise Bhd, Bolton Bhd, Lion Group and KL Sentral Bhd.
In 2007, Katherine returned to Singapore to set up her own practice, Space Sculptors.
